Live Nativity Animals

Dahlonega Square
I shot a great family portrait session with Radford, Julie, Wyatt and Whit on and around the Dahlonega Square earlier in the day and had dinner at Piazza's. Coming out the sunset was so pretty and I grabbed my camera and got some shots of the sky. While I was shooting, I noticed some animals in a trailer and went to investigate. There was a burro, a beautiful border collie named Jasmine (that's her above), goats and sheep.

After a few shots of the gorgeous sunset I meandered over to the animals and immediately fell in love with Jasmine, the sweetest dog you've ever met. She was so loving, but when the sheep and goats started their disembarkation from the trailer she was all business. The shot above is her watching the livestock with a weary eye - ready to pounce if her services were needed to herd them to their destination.

Below are some picks from the impromptu animal shoot. There were a myriad of different animals, Jasmine, of course, but there were goats, sheep, a burro, a baby Alpaca, a dove and an adult Alpaca. Josh and his family from Noah's Ark provided the animals and they are a rescue organization and real animal advocates. We really enjoyed meeting them and wish them very well.
